Something about this is astounding. We’ve all heard the national anthem hundreds of times, but this is something special.
The Copenhagen wheel. The future today!
In the twilight of these years
through this sojourn in the west
so many unremembered moments
so much wasted time
away from home.
But my Mother always beckoned
her dust deep in my veins
her sounds engraved in my soul
her sights burned forever in my mind
My tears flowed like her rivers
longing for her so far away.
And like the lost deer I would search
for the sweet joys of life past
the nostalgic perfume of my youth
whilst buried within me, always
Mother India arrayed in vibrant colors
soothed my soul,
and filled my cup
with the joy of my memories.
Namaste.
